There is always a desire to look better. People need to be able to live life unhindered.These desires and needs help people approach physical improvement, with weight loss goals in mind. It is true that organic food is healthier. However, complete focus on organic food is not the best approach for everyone. A totally organic diet can drain many people financially. When fattening foods are no longer purchased, the money can go toward foods that will help You reach your weight loss goals! Keep a positive outlook, by focusing on what you can have to eat. Don’t be overwhelmed by all of the available information on dieting. The best approach involves high protein intake and low intake of carbohydrates, with limits on sugar intake.

Meat is the best source of protein.

Beef, chicken, pork, venison and more can be enjoyed. Cost of meat can be hard on a budget. Bulk meat is a money saver. It is easy to cut pork loin into small pork steaks. Cut rib roast into steaks. You will find venison to be best cut thin. Trimming fat meat is a personal decision. Meat preparation isn’t usually difficult. Recipes for ground beef are easy to find and mostly simple to follow. Electric pressure cookers can lighten a cooks workload and enhance food, at the same time.

Frozen vegetables retained more food value than canned vegetables.

Frozen veggies also have less sodium, compared to processed, canned vegetables. Salad is an important part of healthy weight loss. Salad is very nutritional,versatile and worth the effort to prepare. Baking foods is good but doesn’t always deliver enjoyable results. Frying food has been discouraged in the dieting community. Nevertheless, frying is not all bad. Coconut oil is good for frying, along with olive oil and real butter. Real butter is best kept at lower temperatures to avoid scorching.Frozen vegetables can be steamed and topped with real butter, parmesan cheese, a little sea salt and black pepper. This seasoning is best on cauliflower and broccoli.

This can be an effective defense against craving sweets. The higher percentage of cocoa is better for You. The recommended level is 70%. Dark chocolate infused with orange or orange and cranberry, can be an extra delicious treat. Blackberries and Strawberries are excellent superfood snacks. They are tasty sources of antioxidants and fiber. Avocado is one of the best superfoods! It goes very well cut up on a salad. Beyond avocado’s role in guacamole, avocado mixes well into combination dips and dressings such as avocado ranch.

Grapefruit is a fat burning superfood.

As a good source of antioxidants, grapefruit is helpful in fighting inflammation of rheumatoid arthritis. Grapefruit can interfere with some medications. Exercise caution if You are taking certain medications. Celery is a very good snack item. Celery goes well with most any dip. Vitamin K, vitamin B6 and vitamin C are in celery. It is also loaded with potassium, antioxidants and enzymes. Celery is even enjoyable dipped in yellow mustard.

Hot peppers can be helpful in weight loss endeavours. 

 

Jalapeno peppers are very popular. However, some peppers are too hot for most people to enjoy. It is best to eat peppers with a medium heat level. In which case, more peppers can be eaten before the heat builds to the calorie burning level. Hot sauces can be beneficial and lend versatility to your meal plans. Peppers are also good in salads. Peppers and pepper sauces are big hits when served with chili, tacos and various saucy foods. For those Dieters, Who enjoy hot and spicy foods, peppers are a powerful Ally. Hot peppers serve as a delicious treat and effective appetite suppressor. Crushed red pepper is a benefit to those Who enjoy high levels of heat. Cayenne is very beneficial in spicy cooking.

Hot wings can be improved, when cooked a little extra. Conventional cooking methods do not get hot wings done to optimal satisfaction. Hot wings are best, when baked on foil, sprayed with a non-stick cooking spray. The wings should be baked at 450 degrees for 30-40 minutes. a close watch should be kept on them for the last 10-15 minutes of cooking time. The hot wings will be heavily caramelized, when they are done. This method will cook more of the fat out of the wings. While this isn’t a fat burner, it is a reasonable treat, with a nice portion of protein. 

Beef jerky

Jerky performs well as a helpful weight loss snack. Even though it contains preservatives, jerky will not induce a spike in your insulin levels. This is helpful between meals, to avoid storing body fat due to high insulin. Your body benefits from the protein in the jerky. Both the eating experience and the delicious flavor are gratifying. It works well to combine drinking plenty of water with eating beef jerky, to promote weight loss.

Homemade TexMex Mesquite Grilled Chicken Salad

Here is a family favorite, that is one of the most delicious weight loss meals, to be enjoyed! Pre-cooked mesquite grilled chicken breasts can easily be heated and cut into cubes. Line the sides of a single-serving bowl, with smashed black beans. A moderate to medium portion of beans will do. Place some of the chicken in the bottom of the bowl. Put a light sprinkle of shredded extra-sharp cheddar on the chicken. Sprinkle crushed corn chips on next, approximately 1/2 cup or a bit more. Sprinkle your favorite salsa around on top of the chips. Add a little parmesan cheese. Place cut up salad over the chips and salsa. Spread the remaining bulk of chicken pieces around on the salad. Make homemade honey-mustard dressing by combining the following ingredients. Mix 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar, 1/2 cup of extra-virgin olive oil, 1/2 cup of raw honey, 1/3 cup of dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon of yellow prepared mustard, 1 teaspoon of sea salt, black pepper to taste is optional. Top the salad with honey mustard dressing and drizzle with taco sauce. Sprinkle on some more shredded cheddar and serve!

Eggs are very good as weight loss food.

It helps to keep a bowl of boiled eggs in the fridge, for easy access. They are even more convenient already out of the shell. Eggs are high in protein and low in saturated fat. eggs contain zinc, copper, iron, selenium, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and vitamin D. Mozzarella sticks are a very good source of dietary protein. They are a healthy snack, if not overindulged.

Some foods should be considered best left alone.

Soy is not a good choice for eating. Soy contains phytoestrogens, which are not beneficial. There are claims for and against soy. A logical view of soy doesn’t show it to be a wise choice for Anyone. High fructose corn syrup requires very little debate. It leads to weight gain, type 2 diabetes and eventually heart disease. White Bread and white rice contribute to belly fat. A good mention is that high amounts of sugar increases weight gain. Many foods can be eaten occasionally and in moderation, resulting in little to no harm. However, high fructose corn syrup should be completely avoided. 

Healthy Alternatives to sugar are easy to find.

Two of the highest in quality are xylitol and stevia. Xylitol has an excellent natural taste. Xylitol reduces tooth decay and has a harmless glycemic level. Heavy uses of xylitol can upset the digestive system. The amounts of xylitol used in foods is safe. Stevia is 200 times sweeter than sugar at an equal concentration. Stevia contains zero calories! Stevia delivers a more lingering sweet aftertaste than One experiences with Xylitol.

Drinking Organic Apple Cider vinegar is a good way to start the day.

It is recommended to mix 1 or 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with 6 to 8 ounces of water. This is not pleasant to taste. Nevertheless, it will aid your body in many ways. Another good natural drink is lemon water. Cut up a real lemon and add it to water in an 8 – 16 ounce drinking glass. If a stronger lemon flavor is desired, just squeeze one of the lemon pieces. Lemon water is a good way to maintain the pH balance of the body. Lemon juice aids in liver cleansing and acts as a digestive and a source of detoxification.

  1. Very good information and I personally do many of them myself. I drink apple cider vinegar every morning and substitute Stevia for sugar like you said. That’s extremely important since it it zero calories.

  2. Finally, a weight loss website not based on Hype or Pills. The Natural way to eat and maintain your ideal weight.

    Back in 1996, after failing to be able to lose weight and keep it off consistently, a friend told me about the Adkins Diet. Which if I remember correctly is very similar to the discussion. I gave it a try and totally changed my eating habits to what you are suggesting. 

    Within 6 weeks of following it very strictly, I had lost about 25 lbs and the only exercise I was doing at the time was walking. 

    Beef is one of my favorites. Venison, chicken, turkey, lamb, no pork of any kind.  I either cook it in a crockpot or on the smoker grill. Fresh vegetables are my first choice when in season. Frozen vegetables are easier for me when steaming. Vegetables should be eaten as they are, uncooked. As far as canned vegetables off the store shelf, they have been robbed of all nutrients by the cooking process and what the containers show are the ‘added’ vitamins and minerals. 

    I have loved Jalapeno peppers for years and it has taken a while to build up to where today I can sit and eat them like an apple. I learned the benefits of hot peppers years ago, especially Cayenne and use it on basically everything that I cook. 

    Thank you for the recipe for the TexMex Grilled Chicken salad. I look forward to trying it out. 

    Boiled eggs I do keep in the fridge. Great for snacks or when you just need a little something before the next meal.

    I myself only do some of them and the most thing I love is dark chocolate. It is very easy to get and many people enjoy it.

    Another thing is I never know that jalapeno can be helpful in weight loss. I love chillis especially jalapeno and definitely, I will try to use it more in my food since it can assist in my diet.

  4. A really interesting read. I’m sick and tired of all the magic pills and potions sold online for weight loss. With most of them the weight you lose is cash from your wallet.

    As a lover of hot and spicey food the tips around jalapenos and other chillis was really interesting. I guess I will have to increase my intake – yum!

    I stopped using sugar years ago but am starting to see some reports/studies that all the sugar alternatives are bad for you in one way or the other.

    1. Ian, the view you have on diet pills and potions is so truthful. Supplements and pills never helped my weight loss endeavors. The peppers are a huge help to satisfy the craving for something delicious and potent with flavor. The capsaicin, in peppers, is helpful to the circulatory system. I share your concern about the artificial sweeteners. They have been helpful in my weight loss. I have lost just over 65 pounds, since 1/01/2019. Nevertheless, we don’t want to harm ourselves by eating unsafe products. Ian, thank you for sharing your insights!

  5. Hi, interesting post. As a Wellness Consultant, I would suggest people buy organic produce to the exclusion of everything else, regardless of cost! This is particularly important in North America where GMOs are prevalent. Unfortunately, GMOs are sneaking into food production everywhere you look, so, perhaps, should be a world-wide proviso. Yes, chocolate makes a delicious treat and it is high in Magnesium as well as serving as a good anti-oxidant. Personally. I would recommend a cacao content of more than 80%. I know this makes the treat bitter and is not to everyone’s taste but it ensures you don’t eat very much. Good article. Keep up the good work. Dr. Alister

  6. A very nice post. I would regard organic produce as essential, especially in North America where GMOs are pervasive. I know this makes shopping more expensive but I think it is worth taking this step and cutting back on other things. Yes, I agree with the chocolate “tip” but would recommend plain chocolate without any dubious additives. Oh, and I think the cacao content should be more than 80%. This reduces the sugar but makes the taste bitter. That means you don’t eat too much. I believe everything should be in moderation… Personally. I would stress a plant-based diet for weight loss and the produce be “fresh” rather than frozen or canned. Tinned vegetables lose their vitamin content because of the canning process and yes they are high in sodium. Frozen are better but still, nothing beats organic fresh vegetables and they should comprise 80% of the diet. Starchy carbohydrates are definitely something to avoid. They break down and form sugars too quickly. When insulin is unable to store the glucose as glycogen it stores as fat. Besides the body’s glycogen storage capacity is very limited. Seventy per-cent of the human race has problems with wheat. The new forms of high yield wheat require high loads of fertiliser. Too much NPK is definitely an antagonist to mineral storage. Besides modern intensive farming is exhausting the soil.  Organic vitamin and minerals are the best assimilated but they are becoming increasingly deficient. They fortify bread wiith B vitamins but this is not the best way to go either.. I would really like to contribute more to this discussion but I see time is against me. Organic fertilizers are a particular interest of mine. Good vitamins are not as easily found as the commercial communities claim. Your writing is very beneficial and I thank you, again!

    1. RoDarrick, it doesn’t have to cost greatly to lose weight. Sure, many of the best natural foods are the premium. However, most budgets cannot sustain the costs. I am happy for those who can afford organic and all natural foods for their diet. The apple cider vinegar varies some, bottle to bottle, in taste. It can taste fairly awful, haha! It is so very beneficial that it is absolutely worth it. It seems to have helped the movement of my fingers, when playing the guitar. Apple cider vinegar is amazing help!
