Excess weight hinders breathing. When overweight, our internal organs are crowded by belly fat and it is much more difficult to breathe. This is something I have experienced, when I was more overweight, and it is quite embarrassing! Breathing easier is such relief at night. Waking up feeling smothered can be a thing of the past. Being lighter on the scales is also lighter on your bank account. It usually doesn’t occur to us how much obesity taxes our material belongings. Shoes last longer when we weigh less. With my weight being over 300 pounds, my shoes show excessive sole wear. Shoe costs can be very substantial. Many bed mattresses are not built to withstand people with excessive weight. This is good for business but hard on the customer. It is surprising how much less you will spend on snacks and you are sure to notice! The monthly expenditures on fast food will dwindle to nearly nothing. For most of us this amounts to definite monetary gains!

Always keep in mind that people love to see and hear of weight loss success. You can look forward to improved physical mobility! Getting dressed will be much easier. Putting on socks and shoes will no longer make you tired and out of breath. Clothes will fit better and feel more comfortable. The strongest asset for weight loss is the human mind. The outlook on weight loss determines the probability of success. Weight loss and mindset need to be controlled to your advantage. Visceral fat puts a person at risk of heart disease, colorectal cancer, dementia, high blood pressure, insulin resistance and diabetes.

One of the health risks of belly fat in men, most widespread, is sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder in which breathing, repeatedly stops and starts. The short stops in breathing can happen as much as 400 times, during a night. Worst of all, a person can die from sleep apnea. Weight loss or surgery are possible cures for the problem. Surgery involves removing obstructive tissue from the airway. Furthermore, the surgery can have side effects. When I weighed in excess of 365 pounds, I would wake up, during the night, gasping for breath. Sitting up on the side of the bed regaining my breath was alarming. Now, being nearly 50 pounds lighter, I breathe just fine and get much better sleep! I want to add that women face many of these visceral fat issues, with the onset of menopause.

The number of diet plans in our culture grows every day. The number of people at risk from obesity is also growing. Healthy weight loss ideas are in critical demand. Not every diet plan is helpful to the average person. Some diets are really only beneficial to someone, who is already in good physical condition. There are diets with stringent guidelines that are necessary for the morbidly obese person. Such stringent guidelines are not needed for the person looking to lose ten to twenty pounds. It is important to avoid bad choices. Pursuing weight loss by the wrong methods can be a waste of time, effort and money.

Severe Insulin Resistance

Inability to lose weight is a danger to an increasing number of health challenged people. Obesity taxes the major organs and is often detrimental to heart health. Glucose is simple sugar which provides energy to the body. It is a large element of many carbohydrates. Insulin is a hormone which manages the amount of glucose in a person’s blood. Insulin Resistance occurs, when a person’s body reacts improperly to insulin, resulting in high levels of glucose in the blood. Severe insulin resistance is dangerous and merits immediate attention. Keeping insulin levels low gives a person valuable weight loss advantages. Insulin resistance causes weight gain and leads to diabetes. With healthy eating habits, insulin resistance can be overcome.

Low Fat Diet Plans

There are good components in a low fat diet. However, the formula leads to more than enough carbohydrates and is not a very satisfying eating regimen. Whole grains, fruits and vegetables are recommended. Lean meats and dairy are allowed in moderation. Beans, Leafy greens, sweet potatoes and omega-3 fatty acids from salmon, walnuts, and flax seed round out the main list of what is allowable. The focus is generally on a daily intake of no more than three teaspoons of fat, daily. This seems like an eating plan best suited for healthy, highly athletic people. Some plans sound good but merit careful scrutiny.

I have personally lost weight with this diet. It is not terrible punishment and yet, not easily maintained.

Some people experience headaches, fatigue, constipation, leg cramps and more. High protein high fat low carb diets recommend meat, cheese, eggs and above ground growing vegetables. Fish and seafood along with natural fats, including real butter and olive oil are permitted. This sounds like leniency, while red wine tea and coffee are considered good. Foods not allowed include Potatoes, Pasta, Bread and Rice. Easily understood restrictions are on fruit, donuts, chocolate bars, candy and drinks of juice, soda and beer. There are variations of this diet. It is entirely possible to determine the best for yourself!

There are pros and cons to diet plans. The practice of counting calories works for some people. I would never recommend calorie counting. Keeping accurate count is very easily strayed from. Good ideas can be taken from most diet plans. There is no diet plan that is perfect for everyone. Taking every word as the absolute perfect truth and best advice, from me or anyone else, is not the best. Decide for yourself, what is best for your weight loss goals. Consider all available information, weigh your best options and start eating in the way best for you!

People enjoy talking about meat. Often, the subject is tenderness of the meat. Many of us build our meal around that, much anticipated, portion of meat. This is our main source of protein and most delicious course of the meal. How to cook tender meat should be common knowledge for every cook.

Black pepper is a must for meats. I season meat cuts heavily with black pepper. When cooking for people, who are heat and spice sensitive, using some moderation is good. I like to salt meat with sea salt. Salt amounts are subject to preference, to a large degree. I keep watch on salt intake. Still, it is an undeniable fact that good meat flavor requires salt. Consider how and what with, the meat is being cooked. Be always mindful of flavor interactions. They do a great job using the meat settings and results are good from pressure-cooking meat. Pressure cooking frozen meat is best started out on the saute setting. Choices to cook with meat are important. Potatoes, onions, and carrots are best. Pressure cooking meats always delivers extra tender servings. Even the most deeply seared meat will be perfectly tender!

Properly cooked meat is usually a treat for anyone, who is pursuing weight loss. There are more good seasonings besides, the ones I have mentioned. For instance, paprika can be amazing on beef. Flavor transformation can happen in a pressure-cooking that you need to avoid. You should never pressure-cook broccoli, with your meats. It is best to coat meat with olive oil, before baking. Last, but not least, always cut your meat across the grain, for tenderness.

Pouring an unhealthy dressing on a really nutritious salad can be troubling. Healthy salad dressings homemade, are the best solution. The taste of healthy dressing seems cleaner and light, on my salad. I really enjoy my salad more without the heavy combination of high fructose corn syrup and soybean oil. Easy recipe ideas are encouraging and readily accessible. We can develop our own insights into flavors and textures of quality dressings, that are beneficial to our pursuit of better eating!

Making homemade salad dressing can be very interesting. I find it helpful to start with my ingredients all out in my work space. As I add an ingredient to my bowl, I put that product away, wherever it belongs. This keeps me better organized. Clear glass mixing bowls are my favorite.   • 1 teaspoon of Salt
  • ( optional ) Black Pepper to taste

Combine ingredients and mix well.


Homemade Western Dressing Recipe

  • 1 cup of Raw Honey
  • 1/4 cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon of White Vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon of Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Ground Mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon of Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of Sea Salt
  • 2 teaspoons of Yellow Prepared Mustard
  • 2 teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar

Combine ingredients and mix well

Healthy Homemade Mayonnaise Recipe

  • 1/2 cup of Milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Raw Honey
  • 1/8 teaspoon of Dijon Mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Lemon Juice
  • 1&1/8 cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Black Pepper and Sea Salt to taste

Blend all ingredients except olive oil, in blender on high to a creamy texture. Slowly blend in oil on low speed. Dressing can be made thinner by adding milk. Dressing can be made thicker by chilling in your refrigerator. Shake well in jar before using.

Better Ranch Dressing Homemade

  • 1 cup of Milk
  • 1 cup of Healthy Homemade Mayonnaise
  • 3 Tablespoons of Ranch Seasoning Mix Powder

Combine ingredients and mix well. Chill in refrigerator for about an hour.

Honey Mustard Poppy Seed Dressing

  • 2 cups of Healthy Homemade Mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup of Water
  • 1/3 cup of Yellow Prepared Mustard
  • 1/4 cup of Raw Honey
  • 1&1/2 teaspoons of Poppy Seeds
  • 1 Tablespoon of liquid amino

Combine ingredients and mix well.

Olive Oil Based Dressings

There is general knowledge that olive oil is beneficial to good health. It is rich in antioxidants and is a good defense against heart disease. Olive oil based dressings are delicious. The great taste is my main focus. Sure, it’s a sub conscience comfort to know I am eating a good and beneficial food. I am also encouraged by the great taste and textures, enjoyed without guilt. Some commercial dressings are less harmful than others. Better yet, we can avoid soybean oil and enjoy the salad dressings that are the best!

In Conclusion, we can see many similarities of different salad dressing recipes. Never be afraid to make adjustments to your dressing. You may prefer sweeter honey mustard. You could add honey, use less vinegar or less mustard. Consider doing the opposite of those suggestions, if you like. It is safer to make small adjustments, to successfully achieve the flavor you want. The more you do this, the faster you will be able to whip up a batch of dressing. It really can be fun!

An immersion blender can be a cook’s best friend. My salad dressings need thorough mixing, because of the particular ingredients in healthier dressing blends . Mixing dressings by hand requires quite a lot of effort. I would never attempt whipping egg whites, for keto recipes, by hand. Keto bread is  the first recipe using whipped egg whites, that I have tried. I tried the cloud bread and found it to be good. However, the texture was extremely light.  Pureed soups can be enjoyable to make, with an immersion blender, because the process can be done in a single pot. Homemade mayonnaise is a good alternative to conventional ingredients. It’s good to skip the soybean oil and still have mayo!

Many people find weight gain to be a hindrance to participation in recreational activities. Back and joint pain can greatly diminish the joy of playing volleyball or basketball. Creative interests such as gardening, photography and other activities, that require prolonged standing, can become a struggle. People will find new joy with the loss of pain and obesity. People can become active and focused on positive goals! Hopefully, I can be a help to others in such achievements.

Beef, chicken, pork, venison and more can be enjoyed. Cost of meat can be hard on a budget. Bulk meat is a money saver. It is easy to cut pork loin into small pork steaks. Cut rib roast into steaks. You will find venison to be best cut thin. Trimming fat meat is a personal decision. Meat preparation isn’t usually difficult. Recipes for ground beef are easy to find and mostly simple to follow. Electric pressure cookers can lighten a cooks workload and enhance food, at the same time.

Frozen vegetables retained more food value than canned vegetables.

Frozen veggies also have less sodium, compared to processed, canned vegetables. Salad is an important part of healthy weight loss. Salad is very nutritional,versatile and worth the effort to prepare. Baking foods is good but doesn’t always deliver enjoyable results. Frying food has been discouraged in the dieting community. Nevertheless, frying is not all bad. Real butter is best kept at lower temperatures to avoid scorching.Frozen vegetables can be steamed and topped with real butter, parmesan cheese, a little sea salt and black pepper. This seasoning is best on cauliflower and broccoli.

This can be an effective defense against craving sweets. The higher percentage of cocoa is better for You. The recommended level is 70%. Dark chocolate infused with orange or orange and cranberry, can be an extra delicious treat. Blackberries and Strawberries are excellent superfood snacks. Peppers and pepper sauces are big hits when served with chili, tacos and various saucy foods. For those Dieters, Who enjoy hot and spicy foods, peppers are a powerful Ally. Hot peppers serve as a delicious treat and effective appetite suppressor. Crushed red pepper is a benefit to those Who enjoy high levels of heat. Cayenne is very beneficial in spicy cooking.

Hot wings can be improved, when cooked a little extra. Conventional cooking methods do not get hot wings done to optimal satisfaction. Hot wings are best, when baked on foil, sprayed with a non-stick cooking spray. The wings should be baked at 450 degrees for 30-40 minutes. a close watch should be kept on them for the last 10-15 minutes of cooking time. The hot wings will be heavily caramelized, when they are done. This method will cook more of the fat out of the wings. While this isn’t a fat burner, it is a reasonable treat, with a nice portion of protein.

Jerky performs well as a helpful weight loss snack. Even though it contains preservatives, jerky will not induce a spike in your insulin levels. This is helpful between meals, to avoid storing body fat due to high insulin. Your body benefits from the protein in the jerky. Both the eating experience and the delicious flavor are gratifying. It works well to combine drinking plenty of water with eating beef jerky, to promote weight loss.

Homemade TexMex Mesquite Grilled Chicken Salad

Here is a family favorite, that is one of the most delicious weight loss meals, to be enjoyed! Pre-cooked mesquite grilled chicken breasts can easily be heated and cut into cubes. Line the sides of a single-serving bowl, with smashed black beans. A moderate to medium portion of beans will do. Place some of the chicken in the bottom of the bowl. Put a light sprinkle of shredded extra-sharp cheddar on the chicken. Sprinkle crushed corn chips on next, approximately 1/2 cup or a bit more. Sprinkle your favorite salsa around on top of the chips. Add a little parmesan cheese. Place cut up salad over the chips and salsa. Spread the remaining bulk of chicken pieces around on the salad. Make homemade honey-mustard dressing by combining the following ingredients. Mix 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar, 1/2 cup of extra-virgin olive oil, 1/2 cup of raw honey, 1/3 cup of dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon of yellow prepared mustard, 1 teaspoon of sea salt, black pepper to taste is optional. Top the salad with honey mustard dressing and drizzle with taco sauce. Sprinkle on some more shredded cheddar and serve!

It helps to keep a bowl of boiled eggs in the fridge, for easy access. They are even more convenient already out of the shell. Eggs are high in protein and low in saturated fat. eggs contain zinc, copper, iron, selenium, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and vitamin D. Mozzarella sticks are a very good source of dietary protein. They are a healthy snack, if not overindulged.

Soy is not a good choice for eating. Soy contains phytoestrogens, which are not beneficial. There are claims for and against soy. A logical view of soy doesn’t show it to be a wise choice for Anyone. High fructose corn syrup requires very little debate. It leads to weight gain, type 2 diabetes and eventually heart disease. White Bread and white rice contribute to belly fat. A good mention is that high amounts of sugar increases weight gain. Many foods can be eaten occasionally and in moderation, resulting in little to no harm. However, high fructose corn syrup should be completely avoided. 

Healthy Alternatives to sugar are easy to find.

Two of the highest in quality are xylitol and stevia. Xylitol has an excellent natural taste. Xylitol reduces tooth decay and has a harmless glycemic level. Heavy uses of xylitol can upset the digestive system. The amounts of xylitol used in foods is safe. Stevia is 200 times sweeter than sugar at an equal concentration. Stevia contains zero calories! Stevia delivers a more lingering sweet aftertaste than One experiences with Xylitol.

Drinking Organic Apple Cider vinegar is a good way to start the day.

It is recommended to mix 1 or 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with 6 to 8 ounces of water. This is not pleasant to taste. Nevertheless, it will aid your body in many ways. Another good natural drink is lemon water. Cut up a real lemon and add it to water in an 8 – 16 ounce drinking glass. If a stronger lemon flavor is desired, just squeeze one of the lemon pieces.
